Russia made it clear that foreign influence had taken part in the domonstrations that recently occured in Moldova. Protesters in the capital of Moldova, it is argued, waved Romanian and EU flags. Russia called on the EU to help protect Moldova from memberstate Romania.
As of nearly 24 hours ago, violent protests errupted in Moldova over election results. The Communist Party won those elections. Pro-European elements within Moldova, mostly the young, stormed parliment hurling stones and shouting pro-Western slogans.
Moldovan government officials argued that elements within Romania had sparked the riots through new ICT methods, such as Twitter. Opposition parties call for fresh elections.
